The role encompasses managing, coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of wine & spirit production which includes planning and implementing schedules to ensure deadlines are met whilst maintaining a high-quality standard of product throughout all stages.

The Role Involves but not limited to: 

  • Day to day coordination of winemaking processes as directed, ensuring that there is enough time and resources to deliver products
  • Drive the wine & spirt making process, to ensure all inputs are of high quality, fit for purpose, delivered on time and budget, supporting the team as per key performing areas
  • Maintain accurate wine production data in Ezy System and provide ‘real-time’ reports upon request.
  • Regular reporting of winemaking performance, including highlighting any operational variations or on any matters relating to product quality or safety.
  • Quality assurance - taking  a proactive role in responding to observations, reports and findings to provide appropriate recommendations as well as developing and refining opportunities for improvement.
  • Actively participates in the housekeeping, cleaning, security and protection of the site and equipment in the winemaking and manufacturing areas
  • Supervising staff to achieve all activities thoroughly, efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Complying with all applicable Health & Safety regulations
  • Ensures wine compliance with respect to wine laws for domestic and international use.

The Successful Candidate will:

  • Wine making experience (preferably in a medium to large business)
  • Experience preferably with EZY systems.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Proven organisational skills and an ability to prioritise workload.
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral.
